Toshiba and Real Madrid have signed a licensing agreement to launch the Club's first official laptop as part of the Toshiba NB200 series. Real Madrid Director General Jorge Valdano and his Toshiba counterpart Alberto Ruano announced the agreement.
The laptop will showcase the Real Madrid crest on its lid and the Santiago Bernabeu crest on the inside. It will be sold with an exclusive Real Madrid laptop bag and extra content, such as photos, wallpapers, videos and a multimedia history of the team, with sections on its the titles, legendary players, the history of the stadium, etc.
The NB200 redefines the computing experience available on a laptop. The new design with a generous 10.1" TruBrite display is contemporary with enhanced protection and build quality fitting for a Toshiba brand. The near full-size keyboard instantly makes the NB200 much easier to use and broadens the appeal to a new generation of users. It weighs just 1.3 kg and has a six cell battery that last for 8 hours. It has an Intel Atom processor, 250GB hard drive, a WebCam and it comes with the new Windows 7. The NB200 has WIFI and Bluetooth connectivity and three USB ports.
Real Madrid and Toshiba are leading brands in their markets. Toshiba computers are currently the least faulty in the market and independent studies show they are the most reliable computers in the first three years of use (Square Trade Research).
Jorge Valdano
"Real Madrid and Toshiba deserve each other because they have a similar unversal vision. This agreement links technology with sport, and will help project both entities to leadership."
Alberto Ruano
"We are honoured to work on this project with Real Madrid and to be the first IT company with whom Real Madrid decide to launch an official product. Such an important entity, with so many Club Members and fans throughout the world, really takes care and watches over the products that bear its brand. The Real Madrid edition of the Toshiba NB200 has met with the Club's demands thanks to its design, quality and extra features. Two winning entities cross paths, making technology and sport come together."
