Cristiano Ronaldo put his name in the Real Madrid history books on Wednesday as the first Madridista to score in the first four matches of the season. His five goals on the season put him in a three-way tie with Messi and Villa as the top scorers in La Liga. When his two goals against Zurich in the Champions League enter the equation, Cristiano is the top scorer in Europe.

Players of the likes of Rial, Pepillo, Valdano, Hugo Sanchez and Sneijder scored in the first four official matches as Madridistas, but not in the first four league matches.

More impressive is the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is also the top scorer in all of Europe thanks to his two Champions League goals against Zurich. The Portuguese international is ahead of his former ManU teammate Wayne Rooney and Udinese’s Di Natale, both of whom have six official goals apiece.
