Manuel Pellegrini, Raul Gonzalez and Cristiano Ronaldo were present for today's press conference, which also served as the presentation of tomorrow's match against DC United.
What do you think about the DC United match?
Pellegrini: I would first like to say thank you for the kind words welcoming us. We want the fans to enjoy a great show
Cristiano: It will be a nice friendly and the fans are sure to have fun.
Raul: We hope its a good match and that the fans enjoy it. These matches are part of our preparation and we must correct things.
What are your thoughts on football in the United States and what needs to happen for it to be more competitive?
Cristiano Ronaldo: It is growing slowly but surely. Toronto FC played a good match and will improve with time. I am sure it will be a much more competitive league in the next few years.
Are you worried about the state of your players, who will have played two matches in less than 48 hours?
Pellegrini: I am not worried because we have 22 players and we will see during the upcoming training session who is fit to play competitively.
What did you think about your team in Toronto?
Pellegrini: It was just a preseason game. We are trying to give the same amount of playing time to all the players, but it is still too early to draw any conclusions. I liked how the team performed in Toronto.
Would you like to play in the US in the future?
Cristiano: You never know. Anything is possible.
Raul: It's a possibility.
Is living with the constant harassing hard?
Cristiano: It is very easy. I like who I am. I live life the way I choose.
Does your brace against Toronto help vindicate you?
Raul: It's been this way for the last fifteen years. I hope it continues.
Will you play football or soccer against DC United?
Pellegrini: All that matters is that the fans have fun and enjoy a great match.
