With little less than 24 hours before kick-off against Toronto FC, Real Madrid trained at BMO Field on Thursday evening in front of 18,000 fans.
It wasn't your run of the mill workout. Every action was captured on camera and projected on the video scoreboards. Approximately 18,000 poured into BMO Field to see Real Madrid train on Thursday evening in Toronto.
The warmup jog was followed by several ball drills, which saw the team split into groups of three to work on one-touch football and maintaining possession.
Manuel Pellegrini subsequently split his team into two teams for the most anticipated moment of the night: the practice match.
Orange bibs: Casillas, Torres, Metzelder, Garay, Drenthe, Xabi Alonso, Granero, Kaka, Robben, Raul, Benzema.
Training kit: Dudek, Arbeloa, Pepe, Albiol, Adant, Lass, Guti, Sneijder, Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain, Negredo.
The bibbed side won 5-1 although Cristiano Ronaldo's goal received the biggest applause, while Arjen Robben, perhaps inspired by wearing the same color as his national team, put on a brilliant show of football and scored a hat-trick. Granero and Torres scored the two remaining goals.
