Karim Benzema is officially a Madridista. Shortly after 20:00 CET, the French striker walked into the Board Room alongside President Florentino Perez , where he signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid. Benzema was very excited and anxious to experience his official presentation before Madridistas.

The Board Room of the Santiago Bernabeu was witness to yet another signing on Thursday as Karim Benzema inked a six-year deal with Real Madrid. It was the first meeting between the president and player, who after greeting the former and several Board membes sat down at the round table to put pen to paper.

Also in attendance were President of Honor, Alfredo di Stefano and Jorge Valdano. In perfect French, Perez congatulated Benzema and the two shook hands as those around them applauded the moment. 

The signing closed with the traditional presentation of a silver replica of the Santiago Bernabeu, a watch and a fountain pen to the French striker. Benzema subsequently made his way to the dressing room to don his new kit and head out to the pitch, where 15,000 fans gave the newest member of the Real Madrid family a warm Madridista welcome.
