New Real Madrid centre back, Raul Albiol arrived in Madrid at 22:15 on Wednesday night for his official unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday at 21:00 CET.

After landing at Terminal 2 of Barajas International Airport from his native Valencia, Albiol expressed how happy he was to be in Madrid and how excited he is to become a Madridista. The player, whoe was joined by his father, wife, brothers and baby daughter, was driven to the Mirasierra Suites Hotel to get a good night's rest before his big day. Albiol is scheduled to be at Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital at 9:00 on Thursday to have his medical checkup followed by a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu. Later in the afternoon, and after signing his five-year contract with Real Madrid, the Spanish international will be presented to his new fans.
