With the arrival of Raul Albiol, Real Madrid add another member of the Spanish national team to their lineup. The Valencia native joins Casillas, Ramos and Kaka as the fourth Madridista currently on Confederations Cup duty and is the fourth European champion behind Casillas, Ramos and De la Red to don the Real Madrid shirt.
Spain won the the 2008 European Championship on 29 June of last summer. La Roja put on a brilliant display of fast, dynamic and effective football throughout the tournament. That same team, included Real Madrid's Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Ruben de la Red. With the arrival of Albiol, the Whites have a new member of the Spanish national team on board.
Albiol is currently on Confederations Cup duty with Spain. The international center-back is the fourth Madridista in South Africa behind Casillas and Ramos (Spain) and Kaka (Brazil).
Albiol made his national team debut on 13 October 2007 against Demark. He has 15 caps and one European Championship title under his belt. Albiol was a starter in Spain's 2-1 comeback win against Greece.
