The 30th edition of the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy brings together the two most-heralded teams of Europe. Real Madrid and Milan will square off on 25 August in a match that will also serve as a presentation of a team in front of its home crowd.
The two sides have won a total of 16 European Cups, making Real Madrid (9) and Milan (7) the two most-heralded teams in Europe.
It will be a special occasion for Kaka, who will play against a Milan side he called home for the last six years. The fact that Milan is coming to town also means that Clarence Seedorf will return to his old stomping grounds. The Dutchman played for Real Madrid for four seasons and one one European Cup.
The last time the two teams met in the Santiago Bernabeu was on 12 March 2003, when the Madridistas won 3-1 in the second stage of the Champions League.
