"It was a big win"

Sergio Llull and Pepe Sánchez were extremely pleased with Real Madrid's first performance of the new year, an 80-65 win against ViveMenorca.

Sergio Llull:
"Many friends and family members came and cheered for Real Madrid."

"It was a rough trip and we came straight from training. We didn't get much rest, but were able to overcome the adversity."

"Barcelona lost yesterday and our goal is to be among the top four teams, but it's difficult because most of them play at home."

"Milano continues improving at home. It might be tough, but we will do the best we can."

Pepe Sánchez:
"It was complicated but we got a big win. I think we played well and always held the lead."

"I think we're getting stronger as the season progresses even though there might be some ups and downs."

"Winning in Milan is important if we want a good seed in the Euroleague and to not have to depend on others."
