Daniel Parejo returns to his home Club as a member of the first team. The youth system player stands out for his vision, his exquisite technique -he is a specialist at taking set pieces- and his powerful shot. The Under-19 European champion returns to Real Madrid after a brief spell at Queens Park Rangers.
Daniel Parejo joined Real Madrid's Under-13 side after playing for his fathers team UD Espinilla (Coslada). In just one year, he managed to play for the Under-20 A side, Real Madrid C and Castilla, finishing the season off with a brilliant free-kick goal that made Spain's Under-19 squad European champions.
He was a starter in 33 games with Castilla last season and scored ten goals, becoming a key player on the team.
His excellent run at Castilla earned him Bernd Schuster's trust. The German coach had him train with the first team on numerous occasions. Parejo even worked out with the squad during the pre-season. He scored Real Madrid's victory goal against Hamburg in the Emirates Cup clash.
He was loaned out to English First Division team Queens Park Rangers at the end of the pre-season. He enjoyed much playing time and managed to perform very well in a tough and competitive league.
"Raúl, Casillas and Guti are the players I look up to," said Parejo when he was part of Real Madrid's academy, "These three great players started out in the youth system and have gone on to be successful at Real Madrid. I think about achieving such greatness whenever I see them. I am young and patient."
