Heading into tomorrow's Euroleague showdown against reigning champion CSKA Moscow, Joan Plaza and Quinton Hosley gave their angles on the how Real Madrid needs to play to bring home the win.
Joan Plaza:
"We are playing against one of the best teams in Europe, which will also feature Matjaz Smodis as compared to the first leg game, one of the references among frontcourt players in Europe. They play control basketball, they hardly make mistakes and they normally do not run the fastbreak. Most of the time they play in midcourt and finish the games with few points scored, but fewer points against. Playing in Moscow and with their quality, it will be a tough one to win. To do that we will have to take the game into physical territory and maintain our concentration during the 40 minutes."
Quinton Hosley:
"We are looking forward to facing CSKA in Moscow, a top-level rival which has everything to play great basketball. We will be facing a great team which is also the defending Euroleague champion, but I trus this Real Madrid a lot because I always think we have chances of winning and we are a team that improves day after day. In the end, we will play a game to see who is better, and anything can happen. The way to hurt CSKA is to play physical ball, defend well as we have been doing in the last games, control the rebounds and run the fastbreak as often as we can."
