The General Assembly approved last year's accounts, which reflect a 50 million euro profit. The over 400 million euro budget for the 2008/09 season was also approved.

The General Assembly's second session began at 10:00 am and 1,215 Voting Members attended. President Ramón Calderón welcomed them and presented his report.

"We have the responsibility to make this Assembly a true example of tolerance, respect and constructive dialogue," he said after his speech. Vice-president José Ignacio Rivero presented a Management Report, submitting the Budget, Annual Report, Situation Report and the Losses and Gains Accounts results for examination and approval. Prior to the voting, members were allotted time to ask questions and make requests.
