Real Madrid returned to work after their day off. The started preparing for their Saturday 20:00 CET match in Getafe against a side in need of points.
Bernd Schuster and second coach Manolo Ruiz began preparing today's session at 11:30 am. The players took the pitch soon after and most of them, especially Cannavaro, teased Marcelo about the pink boots he wore today.
Robben and Cannavaro return
Arjen Robben and Fabio Cannavaro seem to be nearing full recovery and rejoined the squad.
Castilla's Alberto Bueno once again trained with the first team; the young striker is gradually becoming a regular in Schuster's squad lists.
Gabriel Heinze will miss three weeks due to the tackle he received against BATE Borisov and didn't train today, joining Ruud van Nistelrooy, Rubén de la Red (both still resting), Diarra and Gonzalo Higuaín in the infirmary.
Fourteen men worked under the supervision of the German coach, while Casillas, Pepe, Gago, Sneijder, Ramos and Drenthe exercised in the gym. Those outside jogged and did stretching exercises with fitness trainer Jordi García prior to some ball work and playing piggy-in-the-middle with Schuster.
Codina and Dudek trained with keeper coach Pedro Jaro.
