Realmadrid.com's initiative to gather support for Iker Casillas' campaign to win the Balon d'Or has met with overwhelming results. Over 1,000 messages were received within the first 24 hours. We chose several and enclosed them in a nice dossier that was handed to the keeper by Ramón Calderón.

The campaign started in July and will end on 2 December, hoping Iker wins the award that day.

We've received more than 50,000 e-mails from all over the world in support of Casillas as the best goalkeeper in the world, but most importantly, they also highlight his humble character and great personality.

We wanted to summarise all this affection in a dossier for Iker, including 490 messages next to the ten reasons Realmadrid.com used to launch the campaign. The dossier is entitled 500 Reasons to Win.

Ramón Calderón handed gave it to Iker a few days ago in the name of all Madridismo. "I find it incredible that so many people have written hoping I win the Balon d'Or," said the keeper, "There may be many reasons for winning the award, but the ones that really matter are those given by the fans. I promise to read them all. This is a beautiful thing. Win or lose, this is enough a reward for me."
