Ainhoa's tears in Santander were dried with a smile when she arrived in Madrid with her nephew Jonathan on Wednesday. They met some of the players at their pre-match hotel and, a few hours later -and always accompanied by a camera crew of TV channel Cuatro-, they met President Ramón Calderón, who gave them shirts signed by their idols.
The eleven year-old gilr woke up at 6:00 am on Wednesday morning to live one of the best days in her life. She was extremely nervous from early in the day and, after getting dressed, got on a plane to Madrid with her brother César and his son Jonathan.
Ainhoa is the little girl that was seen crying on the television as she saw the Real Madrid squad pass her by at Santander Airport. Jonathan was with her at that time. President Ramón Calderón decided to have a kind gesture with the child as soon as he saw the images on television.
Ainhoa, César and Jonathan met the first team squad at the hotel in Madrid where it stays prior to every home match. They also met Ramón Calderón, who gave them several shirts signed by the players. "This is a dream come true," said César, "I'm going to be famous when I return to Santander!"
The perfect ending for a perfect day was watching Real Madrid's impressive 7-1 victory over Sporting live at the Santiago Bernabéu.
