Last night's seven goals against Sporting proved this years' Real Madrid has great goal-scoring instincts. The team has netted 14 strikes in only four games in the Spanish league this season through many of its players, not only the all-time greatest European strikers Raúl and Van Nistelrooy.
This incredible goal-scoring streak was anticipated by the team's amazing large number of goals (6) against Valencia in the Spanish Super Cup.
Fourteen strikes in just four games means the team currently holds an average of just over three goals per match, a figure hard to equal anywhere else in Europe.
The two all-time greatest goal-scorers in the Champions League, Raúl and Van Nistelrooy, have netted two strikes each, but the rest were scored by Higuaín, Robben, De la Red, Guti and Van der Vaart, proving the entire team has a killer instinct. The latter is currently the leader of the Pichichi ranking thanks to the three strikes he scored last night -one of them with his heel-, tallying a total of four goals so far this year. Even defender Sergio Ramos has joined in the fun by scoring two goals this season -one against Valencia in the Super Cup and another against BATE Borisov in the Champions League-.
The team promises to score many more strikes this year and maybe establish new records. We mustn't forget about the great quality of its strikers, such as Van Nistelrooy, who has already become the team's all-time greatest goal-scorer in games away from home. So far, Real Madrid recently scored its 5,000nd goal in La Liga through Guti... Who knows what more is to come?
