Real Madrid meet Panionios in the season opener

The schedule for the regular season of the 2008/09 Euroleague has been announced, and Real Madrid will begin their quest for Europe's top prize on either October 22 or 23 against Panionios.

The regular season draw, which took place in Berlin, paired Real Madrid with Partizan Igokea, Armani Jeans Milano, CSKA Moscow, Efes Pilsen, and Panionios in Group D.

Their first road test takes place in Belgrade, where Plaza and company face stiff competition in Partizan Igokea. Game 3 and 8 will produce all-star showdows against reigning champion CSKA Moscow.
