Real Madrid are 24 hours away from taking part in their second exhibition match of the preseason. After notching a 3-2 victory against Lask Linza on Sunday, the Whites head to London for the Emirates Cup hosted by Arsenal. First up in the four-team tournament: Hamburg.
With bags already packed, Real Madrid completed their final training session prior to departing to London, where tomorrow they square off against Hamburg in the first round of the Emirates Cup.
Testing grounds
The last day of training in Irdning began with a practice match. Bernd Schuster divided his squad into two teams, the first comprised of footballers who haven't seen much action this preseason. Felipe Ramos took position between the posts, Antón, Metzelder, De la Red, and Sergio Ramos in defense, Parejo and Juanmi Callejón as the double pivot, Baptista as attacking midfielder, and Higuaín, Robinho, and Saviola in attack.
Jerzy Dudek, Michel Salgado, Miguel Torres, Heinze, Javi García, Diarrá, Guti, Sneijder, Robben, Raúl, Van Nistelrooy formed team two.
Casillas and Codina
The two Madridista keepers joined Pedro Jaro for their own specific training regimen; the Spanish International proving to have regained form in no time at all.
Fabio Cannnavaro and Pepe remained in the gymnasium as part of their respective recovery protocols.
The squad will have lunch in Hotel Schloss Pichlarn before heading to Graz, where they will board their flight to London.
