Real Madrid's players attended a second training session at Vale do Lobo in which the pace was stepped up from yesterday's work-out. They jogged and did some ball work. The team was paid a visit by Dutch coach and former player Ronald Koeman, who followed the session with Bernd Schuster.
The players met at 9:00 and ran accross Vale do Lobo's golf course. They ran and did physical exercises for nearly two hours prior to doing some ball work consisting on short passes and a practice game.
Once this was over, the men entered the gym to do some stretching and strengthening exercises. Fabio Cannavaro is currently following a specific recovery programme for his left ankle injury.
Visits
Ronald Koeman paid the team a visit and had a long chat with Bernd Schuster. He later approached Diarra, whom he coached at the end of the 1998/99 campaign at Vitesse Arnhem.
President Ramón Calderón also paid the team a visit. He is currently spending some days in Portugal and will soon join his players in the Algarve programme.
