Last night was Real Madrid's second league victory over Barcelona this season, making it the first time they defeat the eternal foe twice in the league in 25 years. Bernd Schuster's men won in Barcelona 1-0 in December.
A perfect season was sealed with a brilliant 4-1 victory over Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Real Madrid have defeated all of the greats (Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona) at their stadiums. They defeated Barcelona at the Bernabéu last night, making it the first time since 1983 in which the Whites win against Barcelona in both legs of the league.
Real Madrid won in Barcelona in 1983 with goals by Juanito and Santillana, but it took them 20 years to achieve the same feat, this time with goals by Roberto Carlos & Ronaldo.
Undefeated at Camp Nou for three years
Ever since, the Whites have been earning good results in Barcelona besides their 2004 defeat. They have drawn four times and won twice at one of the most complicated stadiums in the country.
