1. Why does Iker Casillas deserve the trophy?
The Zamora is a trophy for keepers, but I think in a way the entire team wins it because not conceding many goals is a result of great teamwork. Iker deserves the trophy for his regular performances and his excellent quality.
2. What are his best attributes?
The best thing about this kid for me is his temperament, his character. Despite his youth, he has shown great compromise and reacted well in key moments.
3. Can you picture Casillas winning a Ballon d'Or?
I am not entitled to say so; all I can say is that throughout my 18-year career I had extraordinary teammates. The basis for Real Madrid's security lies in having a great keeper, and that's why many of the best in history have played for the team. It has always been very hard to earn a spot as a keeper at this club.
4. What does winning the Zamora mean to a keeper?
It is something beautiful, a reward of a year of hard work. It's nice when people acknowledge your work, but that's all. You win the Zamora thanks to the help of your teammates.
