Jose Callejon turns 25 years old today. The midfielder is currently the fourth top scorer on the team with 11 goals in 21 games. This is his first season on the first team after playing for Espanyol when he left the club's academy.
Callejon was born on 11 February 1987 in Motril, Granada. He was part of the Real Madrid youth system between 2002 and 2008, starting out with the Under-16s and ending his years there at Castilla. He then played three years for Espanyol, giving excellent performances and scoring 10 goals.
His official debut with Real Madrid was on 14 August 2011 against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup (2-2). He scored his first goal for the Whites in the 4-0 victory over former side Espanyol in Barcelona.
