Real Madrid Foundation
The goal of these academies is to offer an alternative for prison inmates to do in their time for leisure. The practice of sport goes hand-in-hand with the use of norms of positive behaviour that are key in social rehabilitation, such as discipline, order, teamwork, etc.
The results of this initiative are:
- Improvement on the inmates' self-esteem and solidarity
- Improvement on the relationships between inmates
- Positive action once inmates are rehabilitated
- Responsibility on the inmates' part when attending training sessions
- The learning of skills to use once rehabilitated
The teaching of sport is enhanced by so-called 'White Chats', in which Real Madrid personalities talk to inmates.
