Real Madrid has organised a very special visit throrugh its Foundation. Several children that study in a Social and Sports Academy of Buenos Aires, Argentina, will visit the Spanish capital between 5 and 14 February. They will take part in several sports, leisure and cultural activities in which Real Madrid will take centre stage.
The Academy has over 450 students of 6 to 18 years of age who come from humble familes. Thirteen children aged between 15 and 16 will travel to Madrid with their monitors and Academy President Carlos Garavelli. They will visit the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, the Retiro Park, etc. The children will watch a match between Real Madrid and Espanyol veterans on Saturday morning, and at night they will go to the Santiago Bernabeu to see the Real Madrid-Espanyol league clash. On Sunday, the children will visit the zoo and the Botanical Gardens.
Tuesday will see them take the Stadium Tour and Wednesday and Thursday have been reserved to make special visits to Valdebebas to see the first team train and meet part of the squad. Further touristic visits will follow the next two days before returning to Argentina on 14 February with backpacks full of souvenirs and Real Madrid items.
