Daniel Parejo was sad for not being able to give the fans a victory against Mallorca last night and praised Fabio Cannavaro for everything he's done for the Club.
Yesterday was a sad farewell for the team...
Yes, it wasn't pleasant. We were all sad after the match. We wanted a victory because the fans deserved more. They've supported us all season and we were sad after the game because we would have liked to give them a victory.
How can you explain to people the situation the team is going through?
It's hard. Our morale dropped after the match against Barcelona. We practically lost the title, which naturally makes your motivation change. I think these games are hard to play, but the team's intention has always been to take three points, and it will be so again against Osasuna. It's our last game and we want to win.
How much has all the talk about renewing the squad affected the players?
It's a complicated situation, but I think we have to distance ourselves from everything that is being said and take things slowly. Whatever has to happen will happen. We simply have to play at our highest level and make good use of the playing time we each get.
How was Cannavaro's farewell for the squad?
Fabio has given us a lot. He received an incredible and well-deserved ovation for the hard work he's done since he arrived at Real Madrid. we are all a bit sad because we are losing a great team-mate. We wish him all the best. Nevertheless, there is still one game left and that should be the only thing in our minds. Once the season's over we will give him the farewell he deserves for everything the's done for the Club.
Which team would you rather won the Champions League final?
I want football to win, that is to say the team that truly deserves the victory.
