Like most of their teammates, Dani Parejo and Gonzalo Higuain were visibly upset Real Madrid were unable to win their final home match of the season.
PAREJO
“I am happy that I was able to play, but am sad that we couldn't please the fans. They deserve it.”
“It was a tough match for both teams. We started off well by scoring early, but that's football for you. They scored three great goals and we couldn't respond.”
“We wanted to win for the fans and for us. Luck wasn't on our sidea and now we need to begin preparing for the next match. Osasuna are in a tough predicament.”
HIGUAIN
“It's hard to play when there is nothing to fight for. It's complicated, but we have to think about the next match and try to win it.”
“It was Cannavaro's last match and he lives with his head held high. It's a shame because we all love him and will miss him a lot.”
“Thanks to the fans, who always stand by us. It hurts to finish like this after such a great second half of the season.”
