Pablo Prigion was named the best point guard in the ACB League last season. The player arrives at Real Madrid after a six-year stint at TAU Ceramica. He made his professional debut in Argentina in 1995 and began playing in Spain in 1999 at Fuenlabrada following spells at Ramallo, Belgrano and Obras Sanitarias Buenos Aires, which made him the most promising player in the Argentinean league.
The point guard stayed at Fuenlabrada until 2001, year in which he joined Lucentum, where he became a key player during the two seasons he remained on the team. During his last year, Prigioni stood out for his great vision and steals, leading the forced turnover ranking with 2.38 steals per clash and earning him a spot on the ACB All Star team.
TAU signed Prigionoi at the start of the 2003/04 campaign. Throughout his six years on the team, he gradually became an increasingly important figure, helping the team win four ACB Super Cups, three King's Cups and one ACB League title. He averaged 6.4 points and 4.3 assists in the Euroleague last season, and 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in the ACB.
