Spanish national team coach Sergio Scariolo made public the list of players to participate in the 2009 Eurobasket between 7 and 20 September in Poland. Real Madrid's Felipe Reyes, Alex Mumbru and Raul Lopez are among the 12 players called up, while Sergio Llull is one of three players invited.

Point guards: Ricky Rubio, Raul Lopez, Carlos Cabezas

Shooting guards: Juan Carlos Navarro, Rudy Fernandez

Forwards: Alex Mumbru, Victor Claver,  Berni Rodriguez

Centers: Felipe Reyes, Jorge Garbajosa, Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol

Invited players:  Sergio Llull, Saul Blanco, Guillem Rubio.

The players will meet on Tuesday and will remain together until 13 August. The following day the team will play an exhibition game against Cuba. The last warmup before their Eurobasket 2009 debut on 7 September is against Luthuania four days earlier.
