Real Madrid didn't have an easy game against Xacobeo Blu:Sens. The Whites had to work hard to take their 19th ACB victory this season prior to this week's Euroleague Top 16 clash with Maccabi.

Garbajosa and Tomic were paired under the iron at the start of the game. The latter was in charge of opening his team's game from inside the zone in the opening minutes. Meanwhile, Xacobeo gave a solid performance both in defenece and offence and earned an 11-point cushion (6-17).

This lead was reduced to six points by the Whites at the end of the first quarter. Real Madrid's good aim in the second period and their excellent defensive work gave them the lead with four minutes to go to the sound of the buzzer (36-32).

Tomic's excellent job under the iron and three-pointers from Garbajosa and Llull gave Real Madrid a 9-point cushion that Massey managed to cut short by half-time (49-43).

Both teams defended fiercely in the third act and Bullock took on scoring duties for the Madridistas. Xacobeo relied on Massey's close range shots to stay in the game, but Real Madrid earned a 7-point lead at the end of the quarter thanks to their good work in defence. The locals were strong in the final period and, aided by Tomic's excellent performance, snatched a 90-82 victory in the end.
