Gonzalo Higuain continues breaking records at Real Madrid. His goal against Mallorca was his 83rd league strike for the team and allowed him to become the team's fifth foreign top scorer in the championship, joining the likes of Di Stefano, Hugo Sanchez, Puskas and his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. It was also his 94th overall goal for the Whites, which makes him the club's 19th all-time top scorer.

Higuain is only six goals shy of the 100 mark, which would help him overtake Morientes as the team's 18th top scorer. Since his arrival at the club in 2007, the Pipita has tallied 83 strikes in La Liga (0.57 per match). He is on the path of improving on the 27 goals he scored in 32 games back in the 2009/10 campaign, given that he's already netted 14 strikes in 17 encounters (0.82 per clash). He only needs 60 minutes to score and is therefore the most efficient striker in the championship.
