Spain are one step away from reaching the Confederations Cup final, but standing in their way is the United States. Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos commented on the match.
“Spain deserve an important final.”
“We are focused on the match and intend on maintaining our form.”
“We didn’t speak with them much because we get tied up with our English, but we did coincide in the gym. We know each other on a sports level. We know their strengths and weaknesses on the pitch.”
“The coach shows us game tapes. This morning we studied how the Unites States play. They have good players when it comes to corner kicks and set-pieces.”
“The road isn’t any easier even though they are less familiar teams. Spain has been playing well and rivals respect us. We are in the position we are in because of lots of hard work, not because we play lesser opponents. If they are here it is because they are the champions of their continent. We haven’t played strong teams like Brazil or Italy, but we will play just the same if and when we do.”
