Twenty-seven years ago today Mahamadou Diarra was born in Bamako, Mali. The midfielder is in his third season as a Madridista, during which he has won two league titles. An injury at the end of the 2008 season has kept Diarra sidelined for all of 2009, but the player is eager to return to action at the Santiago Bernabeu to show his stuff. Happy birthday, Mahamadou!
