Despite losing to Valencia, the players won't give up and will continue playing to win.
Marcelo:
“We need to win our remaining matches because we are still mathematically alive and we need to fight for our fans. We tried to win the match, but sometimes things don't turn out like we want them to.”
“Valencia played well. Now we need to forget this match and focus on the rest. We need to win them.”
Metzelder:
“We knew Mestalla was a tough place to play, but Real Madrid can play on any pitch. We are going through a difficult patch and must do whatever it takes to defend the image of this club. We easily lost two matches and must cheer up to take on the matches we have left.”
“We worked hard over the last few months to catch Barcelona and after last week's tough loss it is hard to move forward. It's hard when we don't have any chance to win the title.”
“We need to win our matches. Barcelona have had an amazing year and deserve to be champions. I don't care if it's tomorrow or next week. We had a few tough months this year, but we diplayed commitment and dedication. When all is said and done, we can only say we didn't have a great year.”
"I want to continue playing here because it's the best club in the world and players are proud to wear this shirt. It's up to the club so we will see what happens this summer.”
