Real Madrid began preparing for Sunday’s match at Valladolid today with seven of last night’s starters focusing on recovery efforts. Raul, Guti, Cristiano Ronaldo and Higuain, meanwhile, joined Benzema, Drenthe and Pepe in the gym.

Casillas, Ramos, Albiol, Garay, Arbeloa, Lass and Kaka ran several laps around Pitch 1 at Valdebebas while Granero carried out several toning exercises with the rest of the squad, including Metzelder, Van der Vaart, Marcelo, Gago, Xabi Alonso and Diarra. Dudek and Adan worked out with goalkeeper coach Xavier Mancisidor.
