On the final day of preparations before Wednesday’s match against Olympique Lyonnais, Maunel Pellegrini had a full squad on hand with the exception of Benzema and Drenthe to iron out all the last minute details.

Despite being a closed door session, the media were granted access to observe the workout for 15 minutes based on UEFA regulations. Journalists from as far away as Korea were on hand to cover the session.

Following the team chat, Karim Benzema and Royston Drenthe headed back indoors as they have done all week to continue recovery efforts in the gymnasium. Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso and Albiol, all of whom joined their injured teammates on Monday, today stayed on the turf.

A warmup jog was followed by stretching exercises and ball work. While Casillas, Dudek and Adan worked out with Xabier Mancisidor, the field players moved on to two groups of keep away. Raul was joined by Albiol, Arbeloa, Granero Guti, Van der Vaart, Xabi Alonso and Ramos and to their left were Metzelder, Higuain, Gago, Marcelo, Kaka, Diarra, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lass and Garay. Shortly thereafter, bibs were passed out, set pieces were practiced and the final preparations for the assault on the Champions League came to an end.
