Real Madrid hit the training turf on Monday for their second preparation session of the week with the Olympique Lyonnais showdown only two days away. Cristiano Ronaldo, Albiol, Xabi Alonso and Ramos trained in solitary and Benzema and Drenthe worked out in the gym.
Following the routine chat by Manuel Pellegrini, Benzema and Drenthe headed indoors to continue their respective recovery protocols. Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramos, Xabi Alonso (who is suspended for Wednesday’s match) and Albiol split from the bulk of the squad to train in solitary. While their teammates focused on ball work and participated in a practice match, the four ran several laps around the pitch before heading inside. Casillas, Dudek and Adan trained under the orders of goalkeeper coach Xabier Mancisidor.
