Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos, more commonly referred to as Kaka, was the first new player acquired and signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid. The second to join the Madridista family was Raul Albiol, who will remained linked to the Whites for five seasons. On 26 June, Real Madrid and Manchester United made official the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo as of 1 July. The Portuguese super star will remain a Madridista for the next six seasons. The next player announced was the French striker Karim Benzema, who also inked a six-year deal.
