Alberto Herreros, Technical Director of Real Madrid's Basketball Section, shared his views on the 21011/12 Euroleague draw.

"We weren't lucky in the draw and our group is very tough. We will face several of the favourites who will fight very hard to reach the Final Four. It will obviously be difficult, but we have a capable team and we will gain a lot of ground by staying strong at home. We're not happy with the draw, but I'm sure the other teams also wanted to avoid facing Real Madrid."

"Real Madrid and Maccabi, who both played last year's Final Four, are on the same group. That alone speaks volumes about the level of this group. Efes is also there. They are building a great team and they are very excited about reaching the Final Four in Istanbul. Armani Jeans have also strengthened themselves well."

"We will have to play in very tough courts in the first round, where their teams hold records of victories. We also want to create the right atmosphere at our arena to make it difficult for opponents."

"We have a talented team that is very excited about playing this championship. We know it will be difficult, but if we do our best and stay concentrated at all times we will have many options to reach the Top 16. We have to be optimistic."
