The Scottish team will be Real Madrid's final opponent in the preseason. It is the second most honoured side in Scotland behind Glasgow Rangers and the first in all of Britain to win the European Cup in 1967.

Trivia
- Forms the Old Firm with neighboring rivals Glasgow Rangers. It is one of the fiercest and most famous rivalries in the world of sport. On occasion, executives at both clubs have celebrated a third tie-break match between both teams to increase revenue.
- Became the fist British club to win the European Cup in 1967 against Inter Milan in the final held in Lisbon. All the players on the team were born within a 30 mile radius of the club's headquarters, Parkhead. Celtic won every championship that year: the league, the League Cup and the European Cup.
- Traditionally, Celtic's supporters are Catholics, Scottish nationalists and descendants of Irish immigrants.
Head Coach
Neil Lennon (Ireland, 25-06-71). Captained Celtic as a player. This is his fourth season as coach. He won the Scottish Cup in his second year and the Scottish Premier League in his third.
Standout players
Fraser Forster (Hexham, England, 17-03-88): Bred at Newcastle's youth system, this player is having his best run in Scotland. He was the least scored-upon goalkeeper of the Scottish Premier League with 19 conceded strikes in 31 games.
Gary Hooper (Essex, England, 26-01-88): Has become the top scorer of the Scottish Premier League in his second season on the team with 25 goals. He is also the most used outfielder on the squad (2,568).
Joe Ledley (Cardiff, Wales, 23-01-87): International in all of Wales' national sides and one of the key players in Neil Lennon's system. He is a creative midfielder who is about to begin his third season at the club.
