Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player in history to score against every team in La Liga in one season with 20 sides in the championship. Cristiano Ronaldo is also the top scoring player on the road in one La Liga campaign with 23 strikes.
The opponents against whom Cristiano scored in both legs of the campaign were Atletico, Osasuna, Athletic, Sevilla, Granada, Rayo Vallecano, Zaragoza and Sporting. He has become the second player in Real Madrid history to score against all of the team's league opponents in one season. The first was Luis Regueiro, who tallied strikes against Real's then only nine opponents in the 1930/31 campaign.
The last player to score against every team in La Liga was Barcelona's Cesar in the 1950/51 campaign when there were only 16 sides in the competition. He was preceded by Martin Mariano (13 teams), Pruden (11), Gaspar Rubio (11), Langara (9), Gorostiza (9), Luis Regueiro (9) and Paco Bienzobas (9).
Like Cristiano, former Madridista Ronaldo also managed to score against 19 teams in the 1996/97 campaign when he played for Barcelona, but there were 22 clubs competing in the championship that year. Baltazar (1988/89), Bebeto (1992/93) and Pizzi (1995/96) scored against 18 sides; the former two did so in a championship with 20 teams, and the latter when there were 22. Former Madridista Pahiño scored against every team except Zaragoza in the 1951/52 campaign with 16 teams in La Liga.
