Esteban Granero and Emanuel Adebayor also took part in a final that will go down in history, and both discusssed what it meant to them.
Adebayor:
"This is my first title ever and I am proud to play for this club. We played very well and deserved this victory. We were all anxious for this moment to win, and we worked very hard to accomplish our goal. This is the decisive point of the season. We will be very focused and determined following this win. I am very happy for Mourinho because he deserved it."
Granero:
"Real Madrid must always be on top. This is a great day for everyone. It was important to be here and to beat Barcelona. It's time to take it all in. We were the better side in the first half and we should have gone into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Then they were the better team, but I think we were the fair winners. There isn't a lot of difference between the two teams. We must compete and in this competition you see who is the better team. This time it was us."
